Zombie Stomper Platform Heels by Iron Fist. How cool is that name? Not as cool as this pair of shoes. Nor its glow in the dark version. I know I said I’ll wear low heel boots when a zombie apocalypse comes along, but these peep toe pumps are slowly changing my mind. Maybe I’ll just carry a big shot gun to blast zombie brains out so there won’t be that much running around.

Reports say that American Idol censored Lady Gaga’s Penis Shoes (while others say AI didn’t censor anything at all), but I think there wouldn’t have been any debate had she worn this subtler pair from madman slash shoe designer Kobi Levi. Well, subtle is subjective, yes? On a different note, this also gives a whole new meaning to the term nude shoes.

Fiber Optic Heels by Francesca Castagnacci. As the Frisky has so graciously pointed out, glow in the dark shoes aren’t that much of a new concept. Any self-respecting lady of night should at least have a pair right? And high fashion is slowly catching up with these pair of fiber optic peep toe pumps from Italian designer Francesca Castagnacci. Another designer who’s explored the idea of glowing shoes is Rodarte with these illuminated heels that looks like fireflies have been trapped in them. Peep Toe Pumps (?) by Keren Peretz. The reason I put that question mark there is I’m not sure myself what exactly it is. On one hand the vamp’s design is peep toe, but the heels I think are more reminiscent of clogs. And when you see how it works it gets even more confusing. Once you put your foot down, the shoes open up like so and snap back on when you lift it up. Just think of it as a Venus fly trap catching its prey.
