Love her or not, Britney Spears is already part of our pop culture consciousness. Other pop stars like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Lance Bass, Christina Aguilera and other famous people have sent their well wishes to Brit Brit now that she’s turned the big 3-0. I originally wanted to list down her top looks, especially now that Jennifer Lopez sort of paid homage to her VMA outfit back in 2000, but then I had to tell myself that she isn’t going to be the number one pick for best dressed list anytime soon.

Although she did have her moments with the short, silver dress she wore to the 2008 VMAs, the sexy, black dress with black pumps she wore for the 27th birthday bash, and that white dress with the fur shawl she wore at the 2000 Grammy’s.

So instead we’re sending our birthday greetings in the form of cover songs from our fave Pop Princess. Happy Birthday Brit Brit.

Travis’ rendition of Britney Spears breakout hit was very interesting to say the least. It made the song tender for crying out loud. Glee’s Darren Criss also had a very interesting cover of this song. Kind of jazzy bluesy with the piano.

Of course Taylor Swift would pick that Britney song about having everything but not having the guy song. I’m not too crazy about her cover though.

Shed Muzak’s is probably the best Toxic cover I had ever stumbled upon in YouTube. I was most impressed about the clapping dude. But if you want a totally different sound check out Inch Chua’s soulful rendition.

The clinking of the beer bottles sold me in this All American Rejects cover of Brit’s Womanizer. It’s also interesting to note that Franz Ferdinand also has a cover of this song. Are these rockstars talking about themselves?

I love this sound. I love Tricky. Done.
